ACS Group operates manufacturing facilities around the world, delivering a broad line of auxiliary process equipment for the plastic and industrial process industries.  Whether you need a component piece of equipment or an entire processing system, our solutions maximize efficiency and minimize costs.Currently, we are seeking a Field Service Technician for our Size Reduction product line.  This position is responsible for:
  • Perform product repairs at customer locations
  • Primary support territory will be Midwest states but will require travel to customers anywhere within US and Canada as needed
  • Support the granulator rebuild department projects for initial product training and then as needed when not traveling
  • Provide office support handling customer service calls regarding size reduction (granulator) issues when not traveling on service calls
  • Provide field service reports for each service call
  • Work with customers on location, via phone, via email, to resolve granulator service issues,
  • Interact with other company departments such as engineering and manufacturing as required to support the service business
  • Provide departmental backup as required and support all department goals
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Approximately 50-60% overnight travel could be required
 
A qualified candidate will be pro-active, dedicated, and possess these requirements:
 
  • Experience with field service and repair of heavy equipment, preferably granulators or other plastics industry equipment
  • Experience and knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of plastics industry and related process control equipment, including recyclers
  • Experience with working directly with customers and the ability to present a very positive company image when working at customer facilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to learn and utilize company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with heavy machinery, drive forklift trucks, operate lifting devices, and lift reasonable amounts of weight
  • Experience working with riggers/millwrights
